Fresh Produce Records
Downtown Macon is growing fast. New restaurants, breweries, and specialty shops are opening everywhere.
I enjoy wandering around and exploring what’s new, and I have several spots I routinely visit. One of my favorites is Fresh Produce Records.
Their massive inventory of vinyl records, CDs, Cassettes, VHS tapes, posters, and collectibles brings back good memories. Just being in the store makes me happy.
I feel drawn back to the analog world. There’s something about physical media I miss. I know nostalgia is part of it, but I also think it’s a desire to slow down and appreciate things more.
Remember when you’d buy an album and listen to all the tracks from beginning to end while you browsed the cover art? It’s just not the same streaming from an infinite digital library.
Places like Fresh Produce Records remind me of a simpler time when we weren’t overloaded with digital content.
